There’s so much going on all around us and it has been that way for over a year now. Nothing we've experienced is “normal times” or “business as usual” and I think it's about time that we admit that, if we haven’t already, especially at work.
As a researcher, I am required to be very present and open to others’ experiences but in order to do that, I have to be present and open to my own…and it’s been hard (and hasn’t gotten much easier).
In this session, I’ll share my very real experience of feeling overwhelmed, unproductive, and hopeless at times since working during the pandemic/other traumatic & ridiculous events and things I’ve done that have helped me to at the very least be okay (or recognize that I’m not).
A look at how teams shift from a culture of “my ideas” to “our ideas,” and why bringing more people into the design process moves the work forward.
